Positive thinking.

I was told last week that I have to stop putting myself down because I am doing a good job, although I use this as a reflection and a way of thinking through my week and knowing how to make improvements.

Positive thinking us something I'm constantly telling other people to have, so I know I need to take this on board for myself too.

I feel I continue to grow in confidence and yes, this wasn't a bad week.

Started instruction writing this week and I love inspiring the children to think for themself. Really brings out my creative side and even I get inspired. I used to love writing as a child, hence why I wrote so many songs. It's sometimes disappointing when you say 'use your imagination' and the children reply with 'I don't know what to write'. I'll keep trying to inspire them and hopefully I'll get some great ideas. These are the future writers and it begins here.

Talking of writing, some of the books have been moderated this week. I was apprehensive about this as I've never moderated writing before. I find it difficult to judge the children's writing and make comparisons, however I'm not far away so that's good. It had made me worried for a time, although I can see I'm starting to make a difference. I just want it to be fun.

My highlight of the week is practicing for the dance festival. My class have put so many of their ideas into the routine and its really coming together. It's great to have the chance to dance around to the Spice Girls! Three more weeks and it will be over, just like that.

So that countdown to Easter is growing ever closer and with the first three weeks having already flown by I'm sure the next three will be just as quick.

I'll continue to be positive and remind myself that every day is different and will be whatever I make it.
